Glen Eagle Maintenance (3/27/25)

Pretty sure our coolest days of the year are behind us, but the course is certainly liking the warmer, sunnier weather. If we can get a little of the rain they are predicting for the weekend, that will make it even better.

We are seeing hot spots pop up on the course due to the warm temperatures and lack of rain. Even so, I am trying my best to keep from increasing the amount of water we are using each night as the lakes levels are low and as usual this time of year irrigation water could become short.

On March 7th, we had our first of two visits of 2025 from our Agronomic Consultant, Dr. Steve Kammerer. I have attached his report below. The report reflects our discussions as we inspect the golf course from a professional agronomic perspective. The observations were positive during our visit as the report reflects. During the visit we discuss many of the challenges with maintaining a golf course in our unique environment, along with trends in the golf course maintenance industry.

This week we had the summer annuals installed around the clubhouse and front entrance…

And were able to get in the first verticut of the year…
