Golf Maintenance
Small amounts of rain this week, 0.2” or less, have kept the course green. As it continues to recover from our last aerification conditions are improving and it is starting to round a corner as we get closer to fall.
We had our fall visit from Dr. Kammerer on Wednesday and as we toured the golf course, we took a measurement and found that there is 9 feet of exposed bank at the pump station lake. This is due to the lack of rainfall this summer. As of our visit we have had 30.17” of rainfall this year. That is 28+ inches behind what we had had during the same time period in 2022 and 2021.
The lack of rain has been an issue this summer and may continue to be but for now we will enjoy green grass and nice blue skies.

Common Grounds
Some of our planting projects have been delayed due to lack of rain but we continue to add small, manageable splashes of new plant material around the club and community. Here are a couple beds we spruced up recently at the Davis entrance by the entrance/exit to the cart barn along GE blvd.
Facilities
We started removing the old pool canopies this week which will be replaced with umbrellas next week.

It was a good week and we knocked a few things off the to do list but its crunch time with a lot of projects left to do going into season.
